Strengthening and ductilization of laminate dual-phase steels with high martensite content

Abstract The steels with excellent strength and ductility are expected to be achieved by tailoring the microstructural features. In this work, laminate dual-phase (DP) high martensite content (laminate HMDP steels) were produced a combination of warm rolling intercritical annealing. Influence strain annealing temperature on evolution mechanical properties systematically studied. was significantly improved ∼1.6 GPa associated uniform elongation 7%, as long structure is maintained. strengthening ductilizing mechanisms discussed based influence content, which promote development internal stresses can correlated Bauschinger effect measured cyclic loading-unloading-reloading experiments. Detailed transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observation applied characterize dislocation in deformed ferrite.
